DAY WORKSHOPS
Three day-long courses of intensive work

PROFESSIONAL WORKSHOP
An excellent way to hone your skills and feel the effects of your conducting on professional players.

Repertoire: Chosen by participants in consultation with the Director.

EVENING CLASSES
Build a solid foundation for your conducting and expand your skills

Further information: suitable for conductors who want regular instruction, building their skills those wanting an introduction to conducting, or with basic to intermediate skills who want regular contact with a great teacher and colleagues.
Fee: Per Series: £140. Book both series for £240 (save £40)
Masterclass
An intensive week-long masterclass including rehearsal and performance with orchestra
Sunday 24 - Saturday 30 November
Levels: 2 - 3
Participants: 6 - 9
Podium Time: 30 - 40 mins
Accompaniment: pro pianist, class ensemble
Repertoire: Dvorak 7th Symphony, Schumann Genoveva, Beethoven Egmont, Mozart Magic Flute, Don Giovanni overtures

PRIVATE LESSONS
One to one in NW8 or SE13 by arrangement
Special offer for Academy Members:
just £50 ph for 4 lessons booked in advance
Bespoke lessons, where you can develop at your own pace, work on specific repertoire and issues, prepare for competitions and auditions, or address anything else.
An enhancement useful adjunct to your work on LCA courses....

Important Information
Class Ensemble info:
Participants who can play in the class ensemble for anything they are not paying for can attend as observers free of charge.
LEVELS These are of course fluid, and as you improve you may of course advance top higher level activities.
Level 0: Complete beginners, mainly observing, may have short podium time if available.
Level 1: Basic competence in conducting, though knowledge of music theory, ability to read full scores.
Level 2: Intermediate level conducting, ability to rehearse and conduct small to medium ensembles with confidence.
Level 3: Advanced level conducting, considerable ability and experience with full orchestra.
Observers (ie any level excluded from any module are welcome to attend any course for a small fee, or free of charge if they can play in the Class Ensemble
REPERTOIRE: Where listed, you are expected to be familiar with all the pieces. While you can state your preferences, the movements you will work on will be determined by the Principal Tutor.
PARTICIPANT NUMBERS: Should any? module be undersubscribed, remaining applicants may be offered either the same podium time as advertised and a shorter overall session, or more podium time for an increased rate, or the module would be cancelled and full refund given.
CLASS ENSEMBLE: This is an important aspect of the Academy. If you play a relevant instrument at at least Grade 8 standard, you are required to bring it, and a stand, to play for your colleagues. Pianists may be asked to fill out missing parts. Non-players will be asked to help distribute parts, turn pages for pianists, etc...
PAYMENTS: No refunds, unless a suitable replacement can be found, in which case £25% of the fee will be retained. (and if cancelled or curtailed pro rata!)
AVAILABILITY: You are required to attend the WHOLE of any session or days you have booked. are signed up for, or you may not be allowed to attend any further part of the course.
