General auditions for occasional freelance orchestra work for:

 

Double Bass

Trumpet (including natural and piccolo)

 

LMA Orchestra is currently considering applications from professional performers of the above instruments who are based in or around London. Opportunities include one-off concerts, patches of work and the possibility of more regular engagements in our series of concerts at St Martin-in-the-Fields.

 

If you play one of the instruments above and would like to be considered please email us with the following:

 

- A brief covering letter stating your interest.

 

- A short CV.

 

- Links to audio and/or video of your playing unaccompanied. These should include standard orchestral excerpts and/or sections of movements from a variety of works (baroque/classical/romantic and fast/slow), with a minimum total duration of 6 minutes. Smartphone recordings are perfectly acceptable.

Application Deadline: Sunday 2 October 2016.

Auditions: Sunday 9 October 2016, afternoon and evening, in London.

Each audition will last around 15 minutes and be performed without accompaniment. You may play any excerpts or pieces you wish, including anything already submitted in your audio/video links. You will also be asked to play several excerpts at sight.
